100 Acre Woods

The 100 Acre Wood, also written as the Hundred Acre Wood, is an optional world based on the fictional locale of author A. A. Milne and Disney's twenty-second animated feature, The Many Adventures of Winnie the Pooh. It is special in both Kingdom Hearts and Kingdom Hearts II as a world within a world, because it is entered through an old book in Traverse Town and Hollow Bastion/Radiant Garden, respectively.

Castle Oblivion/Land of Departure

Originally, Castle Oblivion was the Land of Departure, for which the Keyhole was sealed by Aqua to protect Ventus's comatose body in the Chamber of Waking. Land of Departure is a World that appears in Kingdom Hearts Birth by Sleep and Kingdom Hearts Birth by Sleep Final Mix, and behaves as Traverse Town does, acting as a hub for Terra, Aqua, and Ventus during the course of the game. Like Traverse Town, the Land of Departure is located between light and darkness, and also appears to be the location in which Keyblade wielders are trained to become masters.

The Castle of Dreams is based off of the setting in the 1950 film Cinderella. The Castle of Dreams is home to Cinderella, Prince Charming, the Grand Duke, and Lady Tremaine. The Castle of Dreams consists of Lady Tremaine's house, a forest, the castle courtyard, and the castle.

Country of the Musketeers

It is based on the 2004 direct-to-video Disney film, Mickey, Donald, Goofy: The Three Musketeers. Like Timeless River and Symphony of Sorcery, Country of the Musketeers is set in the past, although at a later period, when Mickey was in the pursuit of the knowledge required to become a Keyblade Master.

Destiny Islands

The main island is where the residents live and go to school; Kairi and Selphie are known to go to the same school. The main island also has a small beach and dock. There appears to be a fairly large town in the background, with a long clay path leading to the beach. Sora's House can briefly be seen before Sora encounters the Darkside. However, the only portion of the house shown is Sora's bedroom during the storm.

Disney Castle

Though Disney Castle shows the palace and a little town on the World Map, exploration is limited to only within the castle, in almost all places that had been seen in the first game. King Mickey and Queen Minnie and other members of the royal organization hold meetings in the Audience Chamber. Hidden below Mickey's throne is another room called the Hall of the Cornerstone where the Cornerstone of Light is kept safe.Below the castle is the Gummi Hangar, a room for storing and maintaining the Gummi Ship, controlled by Chip and Dale. This room is accessed by entering a castle-like arrangement of foliage in the courtyard. Sora and his party later enter Disney Castle through this room when they visit in Kingdom Hearts II.

Dive to the Heart

It is framed as a world within a dream, and its nature as the dreamer's heart is reinforced by the background music, the gameplay tutorial, and the strange way of speaking used by those within it (a manner also used by the remembered characters of Kingdom Hearts: Chain of Memories). Enchanted Dominion

The world Enchanted Dominion is based off of the setting of the Disney movie Sleeping Beauty. Enchanted Dominion is home to Aurora, Prince Philip, Maleficent, Flora, Fauna, and Merryweather. Enchanted Dominion has a castle where Princess Aurora resides, and outside of the castle there is a large bridge, which leads to a long winding path to Maleficent's lair, which is also a castle.

End of the World

End of the World is a by-product of all Heartless's destructive nature. Although End of the World is the last world, the Heartless are not very numerous as compared to Hollow Bastion, but they are very powerful. Upon taking a world's heart, a tiny fragment of what is left of that world is sent drifting through the void of space until it eventually meets and merges with End of the World.

Halloween Town

Halloween Town is a world from the Kingdom Hearts series, based on Tim Burton's 1993 classic stop-motion Disney film, The Nightmare Before Christmas. The ruler of this world is Jack Skellington, although he is not the mayor. Halloween Town is in a constant state of night, lighted mainly by the bright full moon overhead. The area has a twisted, Gothic, and creepy appearance.

Hollow Bastion/Radiant Garden

Enter Hollow Bastion at the Rising Falls, appropriately named as there are waterfalls that run up instead of down. Jumping on mystical floating rocks and ledges takes the party to the first of many magical platforms that are scattered throughout the castle. The platform takes you to the Castle Gates, the main entrance of Hollow Bastion which is made up of a set of balconies and lifts running outside the castle. From here, the party can travel down into the underground water system or enter the castle itself.

Monstro

Monstro is so enormous that its playable map is bigger than that of some other worlds, such as Wonderland. If one leaves Monstro and tries to go a different direction, then they will be caught by Monstro again and Monstro will appear twice on the map. Sometimes, attempting to return to Monstro will not work, as Monstro will temporarily leave his spot.

The Pride Lands are home of Simba, Nala, Rafiki, Timon, Pumbaa, and several others. Though the World is titled as the "Pride Lands", parts of the World include the elephant graveyard and the oasis, which are not counted as part of the Pride Lands in The Lion King.

The Realm of Darkness is a realm made up of Darkness in people in every world. As with the Realm of Light, this realm has a Keyblade, Kingdom Key D, which chose King Mickey as its wielder. It is where Ansem formed the Kingdom Hearts of Worlds' Hearts, and is the home of all Heartless.

Space Paranoids is a world within Hollow Bastion's computer in Kingdom Hearts II. It is based on the Disney movie Tron, and is named after the video game created by Kevin Flynn in the movie. Along with being one of three worlds in the series that are contained entirely within another world.

The Land of Dragons consists of two Chinese villages, one of which is later burned down by Shan-Yu, The palace where the Emperor and his army resides, and mountainous terrain surrounding everything. The hidden Gate to show the path to other worlds is hidden in Shan-Yu's sword.

Timesless River

Timeless River is home to first mate Mickey, Captain Pete, Clarabelle Cow, and Horace Horsecollar, and is based on the black and white short films released by Disney in the late 1920s and early 1930s. Timeless River consists of portals to Mickey's house, a hotel on fire, a small Lilliput with houses and cannons, and the construction site of the castle. Timeless River also contains a pier, a waterway, and a wharf. Everything in Timeless River appears in black and white.

Traverse Town

It is a unique world that consists of the consists of the remnants of worlds which have been lost to darkness, and serves as a haven to those whose worlds no longer exist in the Realm of Light; in order to serve as a new home, it is able to reshape its own layout to meet their needs. However, in all appearances it remains a quaint and calm town with a sky of unending night, in which stars can be clearly seen.

Wonderland

This world is nonsensical and bizarre in its own way. Houses that have foldable furniture, a tea party without any guests, and a forest of giant flowers are just some of the odd things found here. The world is ruled by the stroppy Queen of Hearts and her card-like soldiers.
